For many years this substance has been mislabeled, and highly misunderstood. Absinthia Vermut is on a mission to unveil the truth about Absinthe and get everyone she meets reintroduced to the historically known “Green Fairy” aka absinthe.

Recently I had a chat with Absinthia, who loves and believes in her brand and product so much that she changed her name to “Absinthia” after friends started calling her that, while her legal last name is “Vermut”, which translates to the word “wormwood”, the ingredient that caused so much trouble for the spirit. As a “WBENC”-WBE” and member of the “Women’s Cocktail Collective”, Absinthia takes pride in the label and what it represents. The wine and liquor business is predominantly male so showing women that they can own a label that gives the consumer a feeling of achievement and quality no matter who you are or what product you are selling aligns with everything this brand stands for. This farm to glass certified organic absinthe is made with California grapes plus botanicals from Oregon that includes fennel seed, fresh wormwood (artemisia absinthium), aniseed, with coriander seed. Absinthia uses vintage Swiss recipes that includes a traditional distillation process featuring copper pots.
